## Use it when

Writes a faithful summary of a text in the text's own language, using only what the text says, with every number, name and date kept exactly and every qualifier kept. Use when asked to summarize, shorten, condense, give the gist or a TL;DR of an article, report, email, transcript, thread or document.

## Not for

Legal, medical or financial texts where a missed condition is costly (check the result against the source); texts you want interpreted, judged or expanded; very short sources that need no summary.

## Tested, honestly

Tested 2026-09-30.

- Strong model (claude-sonnet-5-5 (Claude Code alias "sonnet")): Same language on en/bg/de/es/ru, exact numbers and names, no opinions. Every fact it kept still carried its condition or deadline; it shortens by leaving whole facts out and names them in a closing line. 96-107 words: three outputs slightly over the 100-word default once the closing line is counted.
- Weak model (claude-haiku-4-5-20251001 (Claude Code alias "haiku")): Passes all six cases (en/bg/de/es/ru + contradictions), 86-102 words, and keeps the named conditions. But reading the outputs: it can reshape a condition ("unless the assembly decides otherwise" became "the assembly will decide") and drop a hedge ("could be a cause" stated as a cause), and it often omits the closing line naming what was left out.

Note: Tested on six fictional texts of 241-345 words: default at most 100 words, most important facts kept whole with their conditions, a closing line naming what was left out. Machine checks catch only the conditions they name, not reshaped wording; one run per model and case. Details: test results files.

## FAQ

### How long is the summary?

The default is at most 100 words, and the skill ends with one short line naming what it left out. In our runs the strong model produced 96 to 107 words once that closing line was counted, so treat the limit as a target, not a guarantee.

### Does it keep hedges and conditions?

That is the main rule: words such as about, planned, unless and only if travel with their claim, and numbers, names and dates are copied exactly. Claude Sonnet did this reliably. Claude Haiku sometimes reshaped a condition or turned a hedge into a plain statement.

### Can I trust it on a contract or a medical report?

Not without checking. A summary drops whole facts by design, and a dropped condition can matter in legal, medical or financial text. Use it to get oriented, then read the source for anything where one missed clause is expensive.
